I am the author of two chapbooks: Sonnet to the Serpent and Other Poems (Wonder) and Dream Logic: Haikus (Fallible House). I am also the translator of Isadoro Saturno’s Dear Parent or Guardian (Ugly Duckling Press) and lead Proyecto Pedazos, a digital archive of Venezuelan migration stories.
I've spent the last decade writing about music and culture for publications including The Los Angeles Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, i-D, The FADER, and Playboy, where my cover story on Bad Bunny was the publication’s first bilingual digital cover. My poems and translations have appeared in Fence, Poetry Daily, Changes Review, Epiphany, The Poetry Project Newsletter, and elsewhere. I graduated from NYU and Columbia University, where I was a Lenfest Fellow in Poetry. In 2022, I was awarded a scholarship for International Writers Under Thirty from the New York Writers Workshop to attend their conference in Greece and was selected as a finalist for the 7th Rafael Cadenas Young Poets Prize by La Poeteca. My work (and, once, my mustache) has been highlighted by The New York Times, NPR, CNN, and elsewhere.
I hosted and curated the Endless Blue salon at Bowery Poetry Club for three years, have lead typewriter activations for Fendi and Louis Vuitton as a member of creative agency Ars Poetica, and have given talks and taught writing both independently and at institutions including CUNY Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, The New York Public Library, New York Foundation For the Arts, The National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Catapult, The School of the New York Times, Flow Chart Foundation, and on the Greek island of Hydra.
Currently a contributing writer at SPIN and Editor of visual arts platform Beholdr, I also serve as translation committee representative on the board of PEN Venezuela and work as a press strategist for artists and brands. I'm currently translating the work of Miguel James, Christopher Soto, and other poets between English and Spanish and writing a novel about redemption. When not working with language, I stretch canvas and paint. I also identify as nonbinary, and use they/them interchangeably. Y se habla Español, obviamente.
